According to the Ribera del Duero Denominación de Origen, the grape harvest of 2023 has been of great quality. In this vintage, we will find rosé wines characterized by a great aromatic intensity and freshness, these aspects are enhanced because they will not be very alcoholic wines. 100% Tempranillo. From our own vineyards located in Pesquera de Duero at 900 m. (3.000 feet) above the sea level. Manual and night harvest, collected in cases. It enters through the selection table, destemming and direct pressing in an inert atmosphere and at low temperatures. Alcoholic fermentation at low temperature, around 13ºC. Elegant and alluring rosé wine, with a pale pink and brilliant color. Very Cream soups, rice dishes, seafood, fishes and asiatic food.

THE 2023 HARVEST
The 2023 harvest will be remembered for encompassing two phases of harvest in one and several different climatic states. A total of 116,690,407 kg of grapes have been harvested, 12% more than the previous year.

Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin (DO) closed 2022 harvest with 105 million kilos of grapes, 5% less than last year. A campaign marked by drought and high temperatures, which extended the harvest for more than two months until it was finished into November. 100% Tempranillo. From our own vineyards located in Pesquera de Duero at 900 m. (3.000 feet) above the sea level. Manual and night harvest, collected in cases. “It has been long and heterogeneous, since the grapes reached maturity on
different dates on the same plot,” explains Miguel Angel Sanz, general director of the DO, “We find ourselves with a smaller grape, which is why the kilos drop, which will give wines with more powerful colors and more complex characteristics,” he explains.
2021
The first tastings of this year’s wines have left a very good taste in the mouth. The 2021 vintage will be a vintage that will offer wines with great power of colour, juicy, enjoyable in the mouth and intense in their expression. They will be great wines, with infinite ageing possibilities, powerful and long-lived wines, representatives of the best Ribera del Duero. From our own vineyards located in Pesquera de Duero at an altitude of 900 metres above sea level. Harvested by hand, at night, and collected in boxes. The grapes are sorted, destemmed and directly pressed in an inert atmosphere at low temperatures. Alcoholic fermentation at low temperature, around 13ºC. Elegant and sensual rosé with a pale, bright pink colour. Very aromatic on the nose, delicate and suggestive, with notes of ripe fruit, red fruits and strawberry. On the palate it is unctuous, with ample volume, sweet, fresh and with a long aftertaste.
